AN EVOLUTION IN HELP FOR HUMANS

KIDS • VETERANS • SENIORS

Exceed the Vision™, Inc. is not a typical charitable organization. They represent an evolution in help for humans: Using the latest in technology, including the Internet, social networks, digital voice and data communication, they directly and efficiently help the most vulnerable of our Society: Our homeless, food insecure, alcohol dependent and traumatized veterans, our homeless and food insecure children and our food insecure and fragile elderly (the fastest growing segment of our population).

OUR HOMELESS KIDS

HOMELESSNESS for families with children surfaced as a significant social problem in the United States in the mid-1980s. Since then, the number of homeless families with children has steadily increased, now constituting 37% of the overall homeless population.

OUR TRAUMATIZED VETERANS

One out of every four homeless have served in the military. Some of these are our SILENT HEROES: A group of homeless Veterans who are unable, unwilling, or don't know how to ask for help. We offer "a hand up" in the forms of information, encouragement, assistance, referrals, and access to basic resources.

OUR HUNGRY KIDS

The truth about child hunger in America is that 16.2 MILLION CHILDREN live in households that lack the means to get enough nutritious food on a regular basis. Food insecurity is harmful to all people, but it is particularly devastating to children

OUR ALCOHOL DEPENDENT VETS

Some Veterans try to cope with their Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) symptoms by drinking heavily. Vets with PTSD have more problems with alcohol. Getting PTSD increases the risk that he or she will develop a drinking problem. Drinking heavily can lead to alcohol dependence.

OUR FRAGILE AND HUNGRY SENIORS

Close to HALF of all people over 85, have Alzheimer’s disease or some other kind of dementia. Abuse, poverty, loneliness and physical ailments all add to the poor quality of life experienced by the fastest growing segment of our society. The older population is expected to grow from 35 million to 72 million by 2030.
